Type: INDEX_ADL
Description: Ability to perform daily activities has decreased
More info: The client’s ability to perform daily activities has decreased. Can independent coping be supported?
ADL-AI assesses the client’s ability to cope independently with daily activities, where 0 = Fully independent. Completes tasks without difficulty. 1-7 = Independent in most tasks. Some tasks may take longer than usual. 8-14 = Needs support in many tasks. Completing tasks independently is slow. 15-21 = Needs help with almost all tasks. Can assist with most tasks, but cannot manage them independently. 22-28 = Needs help with all tasks.
The assessment takes into account the following daily activities:
- showering
- dressing
- walking
- moving independently or using aids
- going to the toilet
- getting out of bed and getting into bed
- eating
ADL-AI values are usually close to ADL scores (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Activities\_of\_daily\_living), but may differ in some situations because ADL-AI relies on the client’s daily care notes interpreted by artificial intelligence.

Support the client’s independent dressing.
- The client needs support walking

- The client cannot walk
