- Talk to the customer and find out the cause of the unnecessary calls.
- Is the number of unnecessary calls momentary or will it continue? For example, has the client returned from a long hospital stay / nursing home?
- If the calls are due to sense of insecurity or loneliness, can the client be provided with appropriate services?
- If the calls are due to impaired cognition, does the customer know how to use the emergency phone or should it be taken away?
